Sailing on the Net Launched

(24 June 2009) Sailing on the Net has just been launched. The idea for this site came from an adverts database I developed for the Laser 5000 website. I embedded this in the Laser 5000 website using frames because it would have been difficult to create a database on the server it runs on.

The database was a success and I thought other class associations might find the functionality useful so I developed this website while commuting to work. I hope you find it useful.

Class associations

Class associations can embed adverts from this website their own website. To see how this works visit the Laser 5000 website. The benefits of embeding Sailing on the Net adverts in class association websites are:

• Ready made classified advert functionality.
• Only adverts for your class are displayed.
• Adverts expire after 90 days keeping website up to date.
• Adverts can only be amended and renewed by their creator.
• Expired adverts can be renewed at any time.
